Peace Connection Foundation began with a handful of people, a shared table, and a simple question: “What if caring for the Earth could start right where we live, work, and play?” We were an informal group—parents, teachers, creatives, scientists—brought together by a growing concern about waste, consumption, and losing our peaceful connection with the earth. Walking through local neighborhoods, we saw overflowing bins on trash day and wondered about all the small choices adding up around us.
Our journey started with community clean-ups, neighborhood workshops, and conversations over coffee. We realized that change doesn’t have to mean grand gestures—it grows from the everyday: sorting trash with children, planning errands thoughtfully to waste less gas, or choosing to repair rather than replace.
With every story shared—about a family starting to compost, or an office swapping single-use cups for real mugs—we saw the power of practical examples. These moments inspired the establishment of the non-profit organization and our mission: to empower people and communities to build a peaceful connection with the Earth by making responsible, sustainable choices more accessible, inviting, and rewarding.
Peace Connection Foundation is small with big hopes and ideas about what is possible. Whether it’s piloting recycling programs, co-creating school curriculum, or simply spreading good ideas through digital content, we remain rooted in the belief that sustainability is for everyone. Our story is still being written—by neighbors, teachers, kids, businesses, and volunteers who, every day, choose stewardship and hope.
We invite you to join us, share your journey, and become part of our ongoing story—a story where every positive action, no matter its size, makes a difference.
Leadership
Peace Connection Foundation is led by Shabnam Mohammad Ateeq Ansari. She serves as the President and has extensive previous experience in managing non-profits. Ansari is a business graduate, author, and certified project management professional. She has been a frugal shopper and conscious user of water resources all her life. Alarmed by the amount of packaging that accompanies every purchase from the grocery store or cafe, she realized that being a conscientious consumer is not enough.
